Vista Manifest with Clarion 6.3.9058
Reply Quote
Hi, I've created an app with the "Generate Manifest" and "Configure Manifest for Vista" boxes ticked in the Global XP/Vista Manifest screen with the "Vista execution level" set to "asInvoker".
My problem is that the manifest works and Vista UAC does not notify the user of an Unidentfied Program every time the program is run, however all the Vista enabled graphical features are lost and everything looks flat like Windows 98. If I run the .exe from within the Clarion IDE all the UAC and graphics work and look perfect. The problem only occurs when run after running the Installer which was created with Setupbuilder.
Is there a way to retain the Vista style graphics and utilise the UAC manifest feature?
Thanks for any help!

Hi Linkman,

Welcome to Vista! In fairness, though, what you're running into is an old Windows problem with manifests that will bite you with XP as well. See http://www.lindersoft.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8265
